New York pop-maestro Thomas Cole is back with his new EP, “Watch Me” and we cannot get enough of it here at GSG Media! The new release follows the optimistic energy of his previous album, “Late to Bloom” while also taking a bold turn in direction. Moreover, the fresh EP is all about defiance, and unapologetic self-expression.
Powerful Anthem
“Watch Me,” is the first track on the EP and it sets the tone as a powerful anthem of self-worth and perseverance. It was put together in response to doubters and discrimination according to Thomas and it’s a bold reclaiming of one’s narrative. “People told me I couldn’t have a family or a fulfilling life after coming out,” Thomas explains candidly. “My answer to them was always, ‘Watch me.’”
Complex Emotions
“Miserable Fck” dives into the complex emotions of relationships and inner turmoil. Inspired by a heated argument, it captures the tension between frustration and longing. Blending electronic and rock influences, the track is a cathartic expression for anyone navigating the chaos of love and connection. “This song is the scream we all have inside sometimes,” says Thomas Cole.
The EP wraps up with “Shut Up & Listen,” a defiant call for self-empowerment. Marrying rock and electronic elements, it confronts societal expectations that stifle individuality. It’s a bold anthem urging listeners to embrace their truth and demand to be heard.
