New Music?
There is excitement in the air for U2 fans as The Edge, has revealed that the rock band is ready to release a new song. The band from Ireland who are known for their dynamic energy and anthemic sound have been diving deep into new material according to the guitarist. Moreover, The Edge, spoke on the Sodajerker on Songwriting podcast and he hinted at an imminent release!
Recent Release
U2 most recently released “Atomic City,” in 2023 as a one off track. Since then it seems that the momentum has grown in the U2 camp. Also, The Edge shared insights into his personal approach to songwriting and he emphasised the importance of presenting well-rounded ideas to his fellow bandmates. He said that this avoids investing time in ideas that lack potential.
Touring Plans
The Edge also mentioned the band’s great desire to start touring very soon. After their very well-received 40-night “U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere” residency, which ran in March, the band is looking at opportunities to interact with fans all around once more. Although their Las Vegas performances highlighted the group’s creative live performance skills, The Edge focused on their ambition to bring the music to audiences all over, therefore implying future touring plans.
He discovered the gem when he was 12 years old and still has it now, claiming it to be why he fell in love with music. He likes to play disc golf when he's not writing about music. He is a one-of-a-kind individual who is always the first to bust out his air guitar on the dance-floor.
