The Darkness are back with their new single, ‘Jussy’s Girl,’ making rock cool once more. The second this one starts, the speakers emit a timeless rock classic atmosphere. It’s evocative of a time when rock was at its pinnacle, and The Darkness masterfully combine their characteristic hooks and high vocal notes to blend into present times smoothly.

Lead singer Justin Hawkins smashes it with his infectious tones greeting the ears, refreshing for anyone who desires rock and roll done right. The best part is that this is just one of many new tracks to come from the band, who will release their new album, ‘Motorheart,’ on November 19th.

Who Is Jussy’s Girl?

Everything about this song musically sends goosebumps soaring up the back of the neck. The guitar riffs are crisp and have an edge that few guitars in today’s period have. The drums also thud with force, taking us to a rock paradise where only coolness reigns. Justin sings in the song about wishing his partner was Jussy’s girl. Who is this mysterious young lady? Who knows? But one thing is sure: it has nothing to do with Rick Springfield’s hit ‘Jessie’s Girl’, or does it?

As the song progresses, the band pick up the tempo, and the energy level soars to new heights, with all of the sounds merging seamlessly. Also, the band demonstrate that they are still as powerful today as when they first emerged on the scene in 2013 with ‘Permission To Land’.
