With Festival Season in full swing. So we look ahead to Sunfall 2017 which takes place on August 12th in Brockwell Park. The “new festival for London” and brings a packed one-day lineup. As well as many of the featured artists appearing again at various after party spots around the capital.

Set clashes are the bane of every festival-goer’s life. And those decisions are often agonizing. Such as, here is our suggested (certainly not definitive) Sunfall journey.

Our Top 5 Sunfall Picks!

  1. Moses Boyd.

The young drummer making waves in the new wave UK jazz scene and is kicking off the day. By blending jazz, soul, hip hop and electronic sounds together.

  1. Romare.

From Romare, expect plenty of low end, downtempo and off-kilter beats with ‘world’ infusions.

  1. Giles Peterson.

Bringing the best of feel-good music from around the world. Although Giles Peterson is a seasoned festival pro.

  1. Roy Ayers.

Of course Roy Ayers features on this list. As The funk/ soul jazz veteran’s career speaks for itself. Spanning over 50 years, making this a must-see at Sunfall. This year; ‘Everybody loves the sunshine’.

  1. Ben UFO.

Finally Ben UFO will provide the switch up in vibe. From a world and jazz oriented day, with UK bass and party vibes.

AFTER PARTY: COOP at XOYO.

Hip Hop producer, living legend and J Dilla’s musical brother. Madlib is responsible for one of the most critically-acclaimed hip hop albums period. We are of course referring to Madvillainy and in conjunction with the supervillain himself. MF DOOM. To caveat missing his day-time set. So hit XOYO if you want to see one of hip hop’s great producers. Also at the XOYO after party; another chance to see Moses Boyd as well as Henry Wu. One half of Yussef kamaal who are very much at the heart of the booming UK jazz scene. Expect Jazz with electronic as well as hip hop and neo-soul infusions.
