Saskia Griffiths-Moore, “Bad Luck” – New Music

Saskia Griffiths-Moore is proving herself to be a real folk heavyweight with her new song “Bad Luck”. This new track has a country rhythm which pulls us in instantly. It has a warm quality to it with a narrative all about experiencing bad luck, but running with it.

Musical Vision

Talent Is Timeless is an organisation which Saskia runs and her connections with some of the world’s best players appear to be paying off with her musical vision coming to life beautifully. She has impressed us many times before but she appears to be getting better and better with each new arrival and this one is certainly no exception.

Vocals

The vocals from Saskia are the real breadwinner for me on this track and the heartfelt momentum is bolstered by a majestic strings arrangement which appears midway through the track. Also, her ability to transition between genres is really refreshing and her humorous approach is appealing too especially later in the track where Saskia steps away from singing to talk to us directly, emphasising the message of rolling a dice which returns the numbers you are not wanting.
