Sam Fischer is a name which is new to us here at GSGM. You may wonder where we have been? Well, we are asking ourselves the same question. How have we not come across him before? His talent is potent.
‘For Now‘ is the track which has brought him to our attention. Vocally, Sam is a breath of fresh air, and his tone glides through the airwaves with conviction. He carries an orthodox technique, but he has a unique timbre which makes him stand out to the other pop artists releasing new music in the game.
For me, I relish his toned-down approach to songwriting. Furthermore, a guitar melody is the only addition to his piercing vocal. Also, it sounds as though it is one of those beginner guitars you pick up from Argos for around £20. Nevertheless, it still sounds attractive, and although there is nothing complicated about the rhythm, it still gets us gripping for dear life.
As the track progresses, Sam delves deep with his heartfelt message rising to the top. He sings about being lonely after a relationship breakup. I am sure many will be able to relate to his story. Also, he has a style which many may compare to Ed Sheeran, but yet he is no replica. Also, the chorus leaves an indent with a unique cadence which pierces the heartstrings.
Overall, ‘For Now‘ is the perfect soundtrack for winter 2020. It has a warm vibe, and it pushes through with beguiling flavour. Now, all we need is a cosy fire and a warm cup of cocoa.
