John Lennon
John Lennon wrote the song many decades prior. However, “Now and Then” was brought to life decades later by surviving Beatles members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Moreover, Ringo shared how Paul approached him to finalize the project which blended nostalgic collaboration with modern technology. Ringo said, “Paul sent the files, and I added the drums and harmonized on the chorus.” “He did a great job. He put the strings on and the lead guitar that gave the track its emotion”
Last Ever Track
As the track vies for prestigious Grammy honors, the 84-year-old drummer remains optimistic. “I’d love to win a Grammy. That’s the business I’m in, and the track is good. The last track ever by the boys.”
AI In Music
Ringo acknowledges that there are concerns surrounding AI’s role in music. But, he does believe that the creation of “Now and Then” demonstrates that AI has the potential to do good in music too.
