Let me tell your first off, “Cookin’ At Greaseland” by Quique Gomez and Little Charlie Baty is a record you need in your life if you are into blues which blends perfectly with jazz! What a treat for the ears this one is, and the pair alongside id Andersen and Alexander Pettersen have smashed it with a sound which is both familiar yet exctinely new.

This album is evidently a heartfelt tribute to Little Charlie Baty. He was a huge part of the blues scene and left a massive legacy and the passion from Quique and Little Charlie Baty is palpable. For me, I can really feel his presence in the crisp, vibrant guitar work and the raw, emotional depth of the tracks laid down by Quique Gomez.

The entire album is one which you will not be able to let go of as you play through! There is a mix of toe tapping jump tones and blues ballads to suit every mood and listener type. Also, the great thing about hte album is that each track tells a different story, and each stands out with its now unique texture.
