All Points East is officially returning to London for a second edition, and it looks like it’s coming back with a bang…
It was announced this morning that The Chemical Brothers will headline the first night (Friday 24th May) of the 10-day festival, supported by a lineup stacked with legendary acts and fresh talent.
The iconic DJ duo will be joined on 24th May by Hot Chip, Primal Scream, Spiritualized, Little Dragon, Danny Brown, Little Simz and Ibibio Sound Machine, with the promise of more acts to be announced. Stay tuned for further announcements, and expect there to be more big names in the pipeline.
Following a successful debut, All Points East will return to Victoria Park in 2019, running from 24th May – 2nd June.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (9th November) at 9 AM, so set your alarm if you’re keen. They will be available from the official All Points East website: https://www.allpointseastfestival.com
The inaugural All Points East was an excellent addition to London’s festival calendar in 2018. The ten-day extravaganza was split into the All Points East Festival (the main festival weekend), In The Neighbourhood (four days of free-entry entertainment) and All Points East Presents (three stand-alone nights of music).
This year, the All Points East Festival was headlined by LCD Soundsystem, Bjork and The xx, while Catfish and the Bottlemen, The National and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds headlined All Points East Presents. Both weekends saw performances from huge artists including Lorde, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Father John Misty, Flying Lotus, Beck, Sampha, Young Fathers, St. Vincent, Patti Smith, The War on Drugs and Warpaint.
In The Neighbourhood will take place from 27-30th May, and is set to include an open-air cinema, live music, arts, street food, pop-up bars, theatre and children’s activities, with more details due in the coming months.
