As you can imagine, Ozzy Osbourne has a storied past and he has recently shared memories of a wild festive season. Moreover, the former Black Sabbath frontman who is now 76-year-old and known for his outrageous lifestyle spoke about how he once consumed a huge amount of alcohol to cope with the Christmas season.
Disdain For The Holidays
Osbourne, who has often spoken about his disdain for the holiday season, admitted to purchasing a barrel containing 28 gallons of beer. This consisted of a staggering 224 pints and he got it to get through the celebrations. Remarkably, he drank it all before Christmas Eve.
Substance Use
Ozzy’s rock-and-roll antics have become legendary. But, he has made efforts to address his substance use over the years. However, in October, he disclosed on the Madhouse Chronicles Podcast that he doesn’t consider himself entirely sober and he occasionally uses marijuana. Sharon Osbourne remains vigilant though in discouraging his use of substances and often removes substances if she finds them in the house.
Happier Now
Ozzy Osbourne also revealed his recent exploration of ketamine treatments, treatment which sparked unexpected effects on his mind. Also, while his journey with sobriety continues to be ongoing and complex, the singer has expressed that he is happier now compared to when he was at the height of his addiction.
He discovered the gem when he was 12 years old and still has it now, claiming it to be why he fell in love with music. He likes to play disc golf when he's not writing about music. He is a one-of-a-kind individual who is always the first to bust out his air guitar on the dance-floor.
