Nicki Minaj recently had to cancel her show in Dublin due to “severe weather conditions” on the Irish sea. This came just two hours prior to her taking to the stage in the Irish capital.
Fans were consequently left disappointed and began chanting ‘Cardi B, Cardi B, Cardi B’. The same chant which fans screamed at Nicki’s other cancelled show in France last week.
Since the event was cancelled, MCD concert promoters have said that they have tried to reschedule Nicki Minaj’s Dublin concert. However, proceedings have failed and therefore ticket refunds would be available from point of purchase tomorrow.
They said: “Unfortunately the artist, venue and promoters have been unable to reschedule the concert despite great efforts by all parties. The adverse weather conditions which affected Irish Sea sailings over the last 24hrs resulted in only half the trucks carrying their equipment arriving ahead of the concert”.
Here is the recent Twitter post from MCD.
[ NICKI MINAJ CONCERT UPDATE ]
Due to adverse weather conditions which have affected Irish Sea saiings over the last 24hrs resulting in some equipment trucks not arriving, Nicki Minaj has been forced to cancel her concert tonight (Friday 15 March 2019) at Dublin's 3Arena. pic.twitter.com/9mFzqUeI51— MCD Productions (@mcd_productions) March 15, 2019
Moreover, this gig is the third show not to go ahead on Nicki’s current world tour. We presume this will leave fans wary of more cancellations as the tour progresses. Furthermore, are you planning to go see Nicki perform on her tour? If so, have your say by leaving a comment below.
