It is the end of the work week, and you know what that means, right? New music Friday.
So, without further ado, let’s get stuck into what tracks are making our top list.
Kanye West And Travis Scott – Wash Us In The Blood
Kanye and Travis Scott combine their signature qualities to create one of the hottest tracks of today. Both of them shine like a beacon here with each giving their all with strong performances. It is an essential track with them both speaking about the modern times, but they combine their heartfelt emotion with a robust instrumental foundation which will grip at you.
Mike Shinoda – Open Door
Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda is taking the world by storm with his solo material. As you would expect, there is a definite Linkin Park sound going on with his new track ‘Open Door’, but he separates the two projects tremendously well by adding a unique flavour. It is a bright release combing rock with pop, and it thumps its way through the speakers, leaving you itching for more. At times, I hear similarities to Fall Out Boy, but yet it is distinct and a track which will rock you into the weekend.
Christine And The Queens – Eyes Of A Child
Christine And The Queens is one of the most enlightening artists in recent decades. She has a knack for crafting very piercing tracks which combine pop and edgy elements. Also, here, we hear the singer deliver an angelic performance with her tugging away at the heartstrings. It is a relatively subdue track compared to her backlog. A piano, soft vocal and heavenly backing harmonies take up the majority of the record taking us on an adventure which we will not forget.
So, these are just a few of our top picks this new music Friday. But, it was a great week for new music. Therefore, you can listen to more of our favourites in our playlist below.
