Myles Smith from Luton in the UK has been impressing me a lot over the last few years. I will be honest, when I first heard “Solo” back in 2023, I did wonder if this was going to be one of those one-hit wonders types, an amazing song from an artist who then fades away again. But, Myles Smith has done the opposite, he has become a dominant force in the music industry and his new release “Wait For You” proves just that!
Myles Smith And His Wonderful Vocal Talent
This new release from Myles is another track which shines a beaming light on his wonderful vocal talent. He has a unique vocal quality which stands out in an industry which is becoming more competitive every day. He has a stadium-filling power and I can only imagine that it will not be long until he is filling out even the biggest of amphitheatres. “Wait For You” has a country-pop style, it is unique from the start and this does not let up either with the track continually exploring new ground.
Undercurrent Gets Stronger
“Wait For You” starts with a gentle flow, it builds us up with a driving vocal performance from Smith. You can hear the undercurrent getting stronger and stronger with a shuffling drum rhythm soon meeting an omnipotent bass lead. It is at this time when the track truly comes to life with the drums returning after a short break with Myles delivering catchy and pertinent vocal lines.
The Magic
It is in the latter part of the track where the magic truly occurs in my opinion. Moreover, get to around 2 minutes into the track and the vitality is flowing by the barrel load. Harmonies emerge too to add a stereo filing effect and the vocals lodge themselves deep in the mind!
A great release this one from Myles Smith and one which you should certainly consider adding to your playlist this summer. You can take a listen here.
