Muse, the English rockers and live show virtuosos capture the lugs this New Music Friday with their latest single, ‘Compliance’. The Teignmouth band’s new single is from their upcoming album, ‘Will Of The People,’ which will be out on August 26th.

The legendary three-piece have entered a new era, and it is rather compelling! Their signature touch remains while colluding with a new angle, and the ensemble delves deep into their toolset, emerging with the riches. Furthermore, the band places an 80s-style synth arrangement at the forefront of their sound, blending it with futuristic hooks and components to produce a unique and refreshing hybrid.

Matt Bellamy is in full form, and he demonstrates his high-calibre skillsets right away! Furthermore, his vocals burst through the mix with ardour. Also, his lyrics stand out, particularly in light of the world crises we are witnessing already in 2022. In addition, to support the thought-provoking lyrics, the band revealed the song’s meaning by publishing the following online: “Compliance is about the promise of safety and reassurance sold to us by powerful entities during times of vulnerability. Gangs, governments, demagogies, social media algorithms & religions seduce us with misleading untruths and comforting fables”… It seems quite close to what we see on our news networks every day, doesn’t it?
