Country music virtuoso, Morgan Wallen has me gripped to his new single, “Love Somebody”. This new track from Wallen which was produced by Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome is from Morgan’s upcoming fourth studio album and it follows his other highly-praised single, “Lies Lies Lies” which came out on the 5th of July 2024.
I first heard this song while driving down a country road, it was the perfect addition to my journey and I ended up heading back to the start of the track time and time again for more! It has some kind of infectious energy which is hard to explain. As a result, it is no surprise that the streams are climbing rapidly in such a short space of time.
Music
The song starts with a Latin groove, blending nicely with Morgan Wallen’s trademark county style. There is a feel-good cadence present in the opener and this continues, getting even more infectious the moment that Morgan Wallen emerges with a stand-out soulful vocal delivery. The vocals fit to the music like a hand in a glove, and the bass tones which ride up and down the mix keep my feet tapping from start to finish.
Meaning Of “Love Somebody” By Morgan Wallen
Morgan Wallen speaks candidly about rumours and addresses those who speak about his lifestyle. He considers the idea of settling down but would rather prefer to stay true to himself. Morgan also emphasises that he is looking for something deeper than just temporary escapes such as alcohol; he wants something more fulfilling. Moreover, he wants to feel complete and desires authentic love with someone who is not just craving fame and wealth.
Overall, I love this song and it deserves a high 5 out of 5 rating!
