Content Guide
Marsha Swanson, the progressive-pop singer just keeps on giving and up she rolls with her new single, “Still Remember”. For anyone who is familiar with Marsha’s album, “Near Life Experience”, this track is number 12 on the record and it is one full of emotional depth and musical grandeur!
The Music
“Still Remember” begins with piano tones resting gracefully on top of shimmering drum hits. There are also warm bass tones present creating a mix full of stereo depth. The vocals from Marsha are also divine with her delivering a really strong vocal performance, both charming and getting to the core of her nail-biting narrative.
The Meaning
The lyrics speak about some kind of emotional distress. The opening lines lead us to believe the character is suffering from insomnia, struggling to get on top of difficult emotions. But, there is a positive element which appears when Marsha emphasises that brighter days are ahead and the lyric “Brighter Sky” represents positive changes to look forward to! Also, there is a reflection of past joy and a reminder to not let go of fond memories!
