Roger Nores
Roger Nores, Liam Payne’s close friend and one of the last people to be with him before he fell from a balcony, is suing Payne’s father.
Charged with abandonment by Argentinean authorities in relation to the incident, Roger Nores claims Geoff falsely claimed he was in control of the singer’s last hours. He insists he was not formally assigned to monitor the singer’s welfare and denies ever being his carer.
Advice To His Father
As part of the case, Roger Nores allegedly wrote emails implying he advised Liam’s father to offer greater help under trying circumstances. He also contends that others near Payne such as his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, were more suited at the time to be aware of his requirements.
Given such a well-publicized tragedy, the case has spurred discussion on the complexity of personal responsibility and relationships. Should Nores prevail in his action, he plans to give any financial gain to Bear Payne, Liam’s son now seven years old.
