Oasis frontman, Liam Gallagher has been hit with criticism after his performance at Wembley on Saturday night (September 21st, 2024). His solo performance which took place before the Ashley Joshua and Daniel Dubois fight appeared to go down well on the night in the stadium, but it did not take long for the backlash to appear on social media.
Performance
The performance was introduced with huge acclaim, with legendary ring announcer, Michael Buffer bigging Liam up massively before the singer launched into the Oasis classic “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star”. He played all the fan favourites on the night, but fans did pick up on a few errors, including Liam forgetting to sing the first line in ‘Supersonic”. Having browsed through the comments on the official performance video on YouTube, it does appear that many were shocked by the singing performance, although others quite rightly pointed out that Liam has been singing in this way now for quite some time during his solo endeavours, and various users hailed it as one of his “better” performances.

Liam’s Response
In typical LG fashion, he did not hold back or mince his words, stating that anyone who criticises his singing is not welcome on the Oasis reunion tour. Although to be fair, it is doubtful they will have paid for the tickets in the first place.
