Like the expected summertime line-up of activities, Latitude Festival for us is always top of the list as a must-see and place-to-be without doubt. Where in some situations in life the outcome doesn’t always meet with expectation, Latitude absolutely never, ever disappoints and always over-delivers beyond expectation. And, the Latitude 2024 roster list was no exception! The sun even came out to support – after a wet one most of the UK summer season which miraculously disappeared across the four days.

With stand-out headliners Kasabian, London Grammar and final-night, ultimate-closers Duran Duran – coupled with mega-artists like Keane, Rag N’ Bone Man, Alison Goldfrapp, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Rick Astley, Orbital and The Vaccines plus many more to punctuate the line-up – we were perpetually torn on how to get to see them all.

Additionally, sleeper-hit for us across the weekend was Richie Mitch and the Coal Miners. Subtle and understated but precise and technically exacting in their sonic delivery, this band is one to watch as they grow.

Every band brought the expected volume – engaging with the crowd, nailing the largeness needed for the space and getting the audience bouncing. There was a band for everyone – the electronic, the vintage, the slick & smooth, the edgier and the simply get-up-and-dance! We walked away from every performance thinking each artist brought their A-game and left nothing on the side.

Stand-out moments of Latitude 2024? The gentleman that is Nile Rodgers taking the stage, clearly in his consummate comfort zone followed by Duran Duran on the Sunday night – proving that they are still a seminal band with all the glamour and swagger required to deliver a multitude of treasured and loved hits.

We are eagerly awaiting announcements around who will take the stage next year for Latitude 2025 – the bar is high but we’ve no doubt this festival will make the good vibes happen yet again!
