Lady Gaga makes a majestic return with her new single, “Happy Mistake”. This new arrival from the pop star and actress is a heart-wrenching journey through her career and it is taken from her new album “Harlequin”.
The Album
“Harlequin” is a soundtrack album which is out now and it features songs which are on the official soundtrack for her new film “Joker: Folie à Deux”. The album also consists of two original songs and in total has 13 songs included, each of which stands out with vigour!
Beautiful Vocals
The vocals from Lady Gaga are particularly poignant and beautiful. Moreover, the singer holds nothing back with her delivery and she leads us forward with her powerful tones. The track starts with an acoustic guitar intro before Lady Gaga appears with a stand-out vocal delivery. She sounds as good if not better than ever before and her vocal style cements the message of the song even deeper.
Acoustic Guitar
One thing which I have noticed is that Lady Gaga often performs best when the musical backdrop is subtle. We saw this previously on “Shallow” from the “A Star Is Born” soundtrack and again here with “Happy Mistake”. So much so, it is no wonder that she is delving further into the space as she matures as an artist.
Meaning
It appears that this track is a self-reflection piece from Gaga with the words reflecting her own career. There are themes of loneliness present in this release with Lady Gaga delving deep into mental health topics. It is a release which has already hit home with fans with many hailing it as one of Lady Gaga’s best musical offerings in recent times.
