Content Guide
Jake Bugg has the infectious tones flowing by the barrel load once more on his new song “I Wrote The Book”. This new self-reflection-inspired piece is one to get excited about, especially if you relish folky sounds blended in with an indie-rock undercurrent.
Hooked
For me, Jake Bugg is back at his very best. He has me really hooked on his new music and this track is the perfect follow-up to “Zombieland” which falls on the same EP. Although, not quite as punchy as the “Zombieland” track, this one is still a weighty delivery from the Nottingham lad. One thing Jake Bugg has always leveraged is his ability to resonate with his audience and he does so again here with a lyrical narrative all about life and becoming an adult.
Trademark Jake Bugg Vibe
The acoustic rhythms are a staple of Jake Bugg and he manages to keep it real on “I Wrote The Book”. It lends more to the folkier side of music does this track and there are even country guitar tones leaking out of the mix in the latter part of the mix. So, much so, this track has something for just about everybody and I am certain you will be as gripped as me when you hit play.
Strong Message
Jake Bugg emphasises that you have to live your life right now, before it is too late. The song title suggests that he is living his life in his own way, writing his own story and that we should all do the same. He has always been clever with his wordplay and you could spend hours dissecting each lyric here.

Overall, I am really pleased to discover this new song from Jake Bugg. It has all the ingredients to become a huge release and it will likely entice more people to join his loyal fan base. You can take a listen here.
