His Thoughts
Jack White has recently voiced his thoughts on the evolving expectations of concert goers and he highlights what he believes is as an entitled attitude among many fans of music. Moreover, the 49-year-old artist went onto social media to reflect on the impact of soaring ticket prices, which he believes have skewed fan expectations regarding the length of live shows. According to White, some fans seem to think that the longer a performance lasts, the better it is, pointing out the increasing trend of bragging about lengthy concerts.
Legendary Acts
Jack White also pointed out that legendary acts like The Beatles and The Ramones often played shows lasting just around 30 minutes, a format he’d be content to adopt in his own career. But, he noted that the audience of today often feels entitled to longer performances because of the staggering cost of tickets. Despite this he said that he isn’t driven by the desire to impress fans with show length and instead, he remains focused on providing a unique experience every time he steps on stage.
Importance Of His Fans
Acknowledging the importance of his fans though, Jack White reassured them that he always gives his full energy at every show, no matter the duration of the gig.
