Britpop fans are buzzing with the announcement of Liverpool indie band Cast as the opening act for all nineteen sold-out Oasis reunion shows in 2025. The news follows the popular announcement of Richard Ashcroft also heading out on the road with the Britpop giants.
Noel Gallagher’s Praising of John Power
Noel Gallagher, the guitarist for Oasis has praised John Power, the frontman of Cast and former The La’s member describing him “as cosmic as the day is long”. It appears that the love is equally shared with Power also calling Oasis the “Voice of a generation”.
Most Famous Tracks
Cast are famous for tracks such as “Alright” and “Walkaway” and they rose to stardom at a similar time to Oasis. Their debut album “All Change” was met with critical acclaim following its release in 1995, the same year as Oasis released their infamous album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”. Cast have since enjoyed steady success in the industry with John Power also proving himself as a popular solo artist.
Oasis Tour
Oasis’ long-awaited reunion tour will take place in 2025. It will see them play across the UK and Ireland, as well as in Europe, USA, Canada, Mexico, and Australia. Tickets sold out almost immediately with the band facing a backlash due to overpriced tickets.
