Glasvegas bring their harrowing sound back to the forefront of the indie scene. Furthermore, the Scottish rockers are picking up from where they left off, with a new track bringing a piercing sentiment which you would only expect from the potent band.
Their new track ‘Keep Me A Space’ is a treat for anyone who fell in love with their infectious sound many years ago. It follows a similar vibe to their previous releases but yet still brings something unique to the unorthodox world.
James Allan
It kicks off with a sharp guitar lead ringing out of the speakers before a thumping drum beat greets us. Vocally, frontman ‘James Allan’ leaps to the occasion with a top-class vocal performance which mesmerising attribute. He sings with his heart firmly on his sleeve and gets his message across conspicuously. For me, I believe his poignant manner is what makes this band so unique. So much so, they do not mince around, and they express themselves very clearly. Also, the music which accompanies the strong vocals is always on top form and adds even more touch with each note ripping through the mix tremendously well.
As the track progresses, the music picks up pace. Also, the message gets even bolder with James proving his storytelling ability. Overall, ‘Keep Me A Space’, ticks all my boxes. I have been an avid fan of this band since their early days, and they prove they are not slowing down with their music taking on even greater heights. Therefore, I hope one day soon that I will get to see them perform live. I can only imagine how colossal this one would sound echoing out of a festival tent.
