Sad news for rock fans this morning given that Foo Fighters have revealed that they are heading on an “Indefinite Hiatus”. This will mean that the group will be taking a break from performing live. This news follows the announcement of Dave Grohl having a baby outside of his marriage and it appears to be a collective decision in the band with all of them agreeing that a short break is the best option.
Foo Fighters In Recent Years
The last few years have seen a lot happen for the rock group famed for tracks like “Best Of You” and “Learn To Fly”. Moreover, it was only in 2022 when long-term drummer, Taylor Hawkins sadly passed away as well as frontman, Dave Grohl’s mother just a few months later.
Festival Cancellation
The news of a break did not come as a huge shock to the industry given that they cancelled their performance at Soundside Music Festival in Connecticut two days prior to the event taking place. The explanation for the cancellation was not hugely clear at the time but it could be down to personal reasons in the band.
Looking ahead though, it does seem that the group will be back again in the not-so-distant future.
