This Staffordshire four-piece are one of the most exciting upcoming acts out there. And, here is why-
They bring a wonderfully nuanced style with their guitar-laden tunes. The band say that they do not like to categorise themselves, and it is a welcome challenge to try and do so. With songs such as ‘Joy Affair’, they provide a soulful, slow waltz, whereas other big hitter ‘When Did It All Go So Wrong?’ hits you in the face with a juicy baseline and all the right ingredients for sure-fire moshing scenes.
Having impressed at the This Feeling stage at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, they have just announced a new string of dates over the coming months including some huge support slots. A sure sign of their growing popularity and an indication that they soon with be headlining.
Coming in an age of reinvented guitar music and bands that gear towards that, Sugarthief are set to support The Twang, who enjoyed success in the wave of Indie guitar bands in the latter stages of the noughties. They will open for The Twang at both Birmingham Academy and London O2 Kentish Town Forum.
Next week, they will play Old Blue Last in Shoreditch, alongside Tella Viv and Old Swing. The other London date will be Nambucca on 10th November.
Be sure to follow Sugarthief for all the latest news and announcements from the band.
They are a truly exciting live band and one to definitely watch, so do not miss out.
