Eminem has overtaken Robbie Williams to have drawn the biggest crowd to Wellingtons West pac stadium in New Zealand.
Robbie Williams previously had the helm having played to around 42000 people in 2001. However Eminem has now overtaken Robbie by playing to more than 46000 on Saturday night.
Shane Harmon is the Westpac Stadium Chief Executive. She said “We are thrilled to have hosted an international artist of this calibre in Wellington and deliver a smooth event for this record-breaking crowd. It certainly was a night to remember.
“I would also like to recognise and thank the 1,500 plus event staff across security, catering and cleaning whose hard work and commitment enabled this event to be the success it was.”
It was only a matter of time until someone was going to beat Robbie’s record of attendance at this stadium. Furthermore, we could not think of a more relevant artist to do that than Eminem. Eminem broke onto the music scene in the late 90’s. Since then he has built up a very loyal and large fan base worldwide. Consequently, wherever Eminem sets up base camp, he guarantees to attract a huge crowd. This is not only due to his large catalogue of hit tracks but also for his thrilling stage performances.
