Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber fall short of a number 1 spot on the Amazon music chart after D-Day veteran Jim Radford’s track reaches the top spot.

The haunting ballad called ‘The Shores of Normandy’ marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

You can listen below.

Speaking about the success, Jim said “I’m delighted. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be No. 1 in any list. The more copies we sell, the more money we raise to build this memorial”.

Listeners have already been having their say on the track.

One user wrote: “Wow! This made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, and left me so emotional. Bless you Jim Radford and the others that made this song/tribute happen. …….. We Will Remember Them.”

Moreover, we highly doubt that the two global pop icons will have any problems with the chart position after finding that all profits from the new D-Day song will go towards the construction of the British Normandy Memorial, which will record the names of the 22,442 men and women serving under British command who died in the Battle of Normandy.
