Content Guide
Liverpool indie lads, Circa Waves rock up with their new single “We Made It”. Yes, boys! This one is a real treat this autumn and I am hooked like a small kid at a candy store. The band have been consistent with their infectious indie since their formation back in 2013 and for me, they smash it here once again!
Underrated Indie Band
I have always felt that Circa Waves are very underrated. Moreover, they never seem to really advance to that top spot in indie but they have all the qualities to become a household name in the game. This new track is yet more proof of that and they bring their joyous tones to the table with vigour. The track starts as it means to continue with a gradual build-up, soon reaching the melting pot with all band members coming together, all guns blazing!
Influences
I am unsure of the exact influences on this track but musically, I can hear vibes which are akin to Kings of Leon, especially within the guitar and bass sounds. However, then comes the addition of the synth which could easily be compared to something you may hear on a Blossoms record. Nevertheless, at the same time as hearing these subtle influences, Circa Waves also keep it true with their own contagious style driving the track forward.
Overall, I am a big fan of “We Made It” by Circa Waves. It is a track which spreads joy and it feels as though they are keeping the summer 2024 vibes alive. This band always sound on it, and they do not miss a trick here, giving us what we enjoy most at GSG Media, foot-tapping indie rock!
