Mike Shinoda’s Decision
The son of the late Chester Bennington has hit out at Mike Shinoda because of his decision to reform Linkin Park with new singer, Emily Armstrong. Fans took the news by storm with the band’s new track “The Emptiness Machine” receiving positive acclaim. However, the 28-year-old son of Chester was not impressed and took to Instagram Stories to disagree with Shinoda’s decision, but why?
Jaime is not a fan of Emily as a replacement for his father due to her previous links to Scientology and also her support of Danny Masterson during his trial for sexual assault. However, Emily has apparently distanced herself from Danny after she “misjudged him”, and according to reports, they have not spoken since. So, could it be something deeper?
Legacy
Jaime accused Mike Shinoda of reforming the group at the wrong time, especially during International Suicide Prevention Month. He also believes that he is “erasing” Chester’s legacy with the reformation and replacement. The Instagram post also stated that Shinoa was “senile and tone-deaf”, blaming him for betraying the trust of the band’s fans and also himself.
