Chance The Rapper gets real and holds nothing back on new track “3333”. The new release from the Chicago-born rapper delves deep into his struggles and defiance and it is an inspiring delivery which hits home right from the start!

Highs and Lows

“3333” speaks about the highs and lows of his music career and it shines a light on the low attendance numbers of a recent show, although I am not sure which show is talking about. He indicates that he feels as though he is just starting out, all over again. But, he insists he isn’t going anywhere and is going to keep doing what he loves most, this is summed up in the lyrics “Once I’m up here, I just don’t care” and “For anybody out there willing to hear”.

Chance The Rapper Rap

The track starts with a foot-tapping drum rhyme alongside majestic piano tones. Harmonies soon reach to the front and fuse well with the opening rap bars from Chance. The rap delivery from Chance The Rapper is hard to fault, he proves why he is still regarded as one of the modern greats and the 31-year-old still sounds as fresh as ever with a nostalgic vibe which blends in well with current textures.

My Opinion

For me, this is a strong track from Chance The Rapper and it will be an immediate winner with Hip Hop fans globally. Also, it is hard to believe that he is just starting out in his career once again. Moreover, he is still one of the biggest rappers in the world and with more than 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify and almost a billion streams for “Holy”, I cannot imagine his popularity fading too much anytime soon! But maybe he knows something different?
