Canadian composer and musician, Caribou whisks me off to some utopian planet with his new track “Come Find Me”. Summer 2024 may be coming to an end at a rapid rate, but the golden sun stays alive with this fresh banger!
Chill Track By Caribou
Known for his viral release “Can’t Do Without You”, Caribou chills me out from the get-go here! It is a release which reminds me why I love electronic and dance music so much. You cannot help but feel good and stress-free while this one plays out. I could also imagine that it would sound incredible played on vinyl too!
Infectious Feel
“Come Find Me” starts with a head-jerking type of drum beat, the sounds of bean tins being hit in the background add to the aura. A synth groove then appears and by this point, I am well and truly hooked. “Come Find Me” vocals echo out at times adding to the already infectous feel that Caribou has created with his music.
Energy Levels
The mood is consistently picking up and the energy levels are being dialled up, but ever so gradually. In the mid-part, all the guns are glazing with zeal and if you were not bopping along before, you certainly will be by this point. Towards the latter part of the track, a new vocal delivery appears. This time though a female sings with an actual narrative and she adds weight to the message of wanting a lover to come and find you.
For me, “Come Find Me” is a release that I am so glad to have found. It is going to be stuck on repeat for a long time to come, and I cannot wait to hear what else Caribou has up his sleeve.
