Bruce Springsteen AKA The Boss has revealed that he has not written any new music in two years and he admits that he often goes through long periods where he has no urge or desire to write any form of music at all.
2022 Was His Last Time Writing
2022 was the last time that Bruce Springsteen wrote any form of new music and his last album, “Letter To You” which came out in 2020 was written in just two weeks and recorded in a matter of days! It was an album which was inspired by the unfortunate passing of Bruce’s long-time friend and bandmate, George Theiss. George sadly died of cancer in 2018.
Live Performances
Luckily for fans, Bruce Springsteen mentioned that he will keep performing live until his wheels “fall off”. Therefore, although his desire to write new music may have dwindled, his hunger to perform live remains as strong and powerful as ever before! The boss also mentioned that he has no plans to retire from music and he will continue for as long as the audience supports him. As a result, there will be no farewell tour similar to other artists of his age, instead, he will keep rocking!
