Billy Talent, the Canadian rock band, is kicking off 2022 with a bang with their new single, ‘Judged’. The new single from the group formed in 1993 is everything we would expect from a band of their prowess!

They don’t hang about; they get right back to work. Furthermore, the music begins with a bang, and all members immediately leap to the front, demonstrating why they are still one of the best rock bands on the planet. Benjamin Kowalewicz, the vocalist, is as powerful as ever. He delivers a vocal that smacks the chops and grips us like a leech.

Contagious Jagged Tones

The guitars rip up the speakers with their contagious jagged tones, and the music is thundering. The bass creates a cadence that is challenging to refuse, while the drums glue everything together with crisp snare hits. Additionally, the band’s excitement does not wane throughout the song, and it is clear that they had a great time recording it.

‘Judged’ isn’t too dissimilar from the group’s past work, also they don’t switch up their sound all that much with each new release. Instead, they add to the sound’s instantly recognisable character. It’s good to see them stick to their roots and not get distracted by what’s going on in the rock world right now. They also sound as fresh and appropriate today as they did when they initially emerged from the Ontario underground scene in the 1990s.
