Nomination

Rock legend, Billy Idol has been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The rocker, known for hits like “White Wedding” and “Rebel Yell”, is just one of eight first time nominees on this year’s ballot and it features 14 artists in total. The official list of all inductees will be revealed in spring.

Eligibility

Though eligible since 2006 as a solo artist, Idol has never felt overlooked since many other worthy musicians still need to be inducted. As a result, for the former Generation X vocalist who turned into a tremendously successful solo career in the 1980s and became an icon of the rock and punk scenes, the nomination has come as a surprise for him.

Billy Idol Tour

As he waits to find out the results, Billy Idol is keeping busy with his new music and live shows. He has a new album in the pipeline and he is preparing for his “It’s A Nice Day To… Tour Again!“. It will be an exciting opportunity for long time fans to see the rock veteran on stage doing what he does best; entertaining rock lovers!
