Pop sensation, Ava Max is back with her new release ‘OMG What’s Happening’. The singer who is rising the ranks in global pop cements herself even deeper into the pop history books here with this new track. It carries a catchy vibe which is hard to shake off, well after listening.

‘OMG What’s Happening’ kicks off brazenly with the singer getting the show underway instantly with a top-class vocal performance. She sings with genuine honesty about a failing relationship. Her heartfelt lyrics are touching, and she sings with conviction, leaving no room for any ambiguity.

The beat brings a pop rhythm foundation which glides its way through with gripping likability. Also, a variety of fresh sounds appear, which proves Ava’s ability to mix things up, demonstrating her versatility. As the track, progresses, Ava delves deeper into her experiences. Furthermore, she notes how a lover has left her in a state of despair. Also, she provides a love-hate account of knowing a relationship is not meant to be, but yet missing them like crazy once they are gone.

For me, she sounds very similar to ‘Marina And The Diamonds’ on this piece, especially with her high notes. The chorus is bold, and it brings a pop flavour which so many of us, including myself, have been craving from the Wisconsin born musician.

Overall, ‘OMG What’s Happening’ is an empowering release. Furthermore, the singer catapults herself forward with her piercing and catchy hooks. Also, lyrically, she does not disappoint either with her expressing her story conspicuously. Additionally, she brings a feel-good vibe to the party too, which makes for quite the paradox given the sentimental lyrics which she is riding.
