Legends of reggae, Aswad have unveiled that they will be releasing a special edition vinyl of their live album “Live In London”. The special edition features only 1000 copies of red, gold and green splatter vinyl and it will be out on August 30th. It is being put out by SMC records which is a division of The Spaine Music Company and it is certainly not one to miss this summer!
Proving to be quite the hit already, this album is first major release in over 10 years and it is a tribute to the late “Drumme Zeb”. It celebrates his spirit and legacy in the scene and it was recorded at a sold-out show in 2023. It was produced by fellow reggae legends Tony Gad and Soloman with Christian Cowlin of The Wailers on mixing duties. For me, each track on this album is ear-medicine which does not get old with the record shining a light on the bands biggest hits such as “Don’t Turn Around” and “Shine”.
It was also mastered by Mark Gittins at Sensound Studios and the quality of touch on display is hard to fault one bit!

He discovered the gem when he was 12 years old and still has it now, claiming it to be why he fell in love with music. He likes to play disc golf when he's not writing about music. He is a one-of-a-kind individual who is always the first to bust out his air guitar on the dance-floor.
