50 Cent apparently refused to perform at a Donald Trump Rally in Madison Square Gardens despite being offered a staggering $3 million to play some of his biggest hits. This comes after he hinted at potentially supporting Donald Trump for the US election in November.
Politics
Speaking on The Breakfast Club radio show, 50 Cent whose real name is Curtis James Jackson stated that he has a fear of politics and he does not like to engage in official government affairs, he was quoted saying “I do not like no part about them.” Given the backlash which can come when celebrities jump into politics, it is no surprise that he is keeping his distance from the upcoming elections between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Disapproval By Others
50 Cent also insisted that he was hesitant to agree to the offer saying that it can often lead to a passionate disagreement from others. Additionally, given that he will likely have fans who will be voting for Harris in the election, it sounds as though it was the safest bet to protect his career.
Trump Endorsements
It is widely known that getting celebrities to support you can do wonders at influencing others to vote for you in an election. However, Trump has struggled to secure big-name support in recent times as opposed to Kamala Harris who has managed to gain support from leading musical figures such as Taylor Swift and J.Lo.
