Sabrina Carpenter is on track to claim the UK’s Official Number 1 Christmas album this week, but Michael Bublé’s festive favorite Christmas isn’t far behind.
Sabrina Carpenter
Former chart-topper Sabrina’s sixth studio album “Short N’ Sweet”, tops the midweek race. The LP has enjoyed major success this year, spawning three UK Number 1 singles: “Espresso”, “Please Please Please”, and “Taste”. But, only 150 chart units behind Sabrina, Bublé’s “Christmas” seasonal hit from 2011 sits at Number 2 midweek. With six non-consecutive weeks at the top over the years, Bublé stays a strong competitor over the holidays.
The Reytons
Indie rockers The Reytons strive for their third UK Top 10 album with “Clifton Park”, now at Number 6. While hip-hop icons Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s “Missionary” could signify a turning point, Snoop might be earning his first-ever UK Top 10 album.
The Cure
Also creating waves and ready for a major comeback are the “Songs of a Lost World” by The Cure. Originally ranking highest on the album charts, the record is expected to re enter the Top 10 at Number 8.
Teddy Swims
Breakout singer Teddy Swims also seeks to cap off an amazing year. Moreover, he is rising the charts rapidly, and is expected to leap 22 places and land at Number 10 with his debut release “I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy – Part 1”.
